After nearly 30 years working for the State Veterinary Service I took early retirement, and was ready for a new phase in my life. I was introduced to Equine Bowen Therapy by Liz Bridger. Watching Liz work over the horses I was filled with admiration and respect, the results she was achieving with such gentle moves were inspiring. I researched The Bowen Technique and went on to study Human Bowen (qualifying in September 2011), Equine Bowen (qualifying in December 2011), and Canine Bowen (qualifying in April 2016). Philippa Heaton ECBS, CEBS, SCBT
I studied with :
- The European College of Bowen Studies www.thebowentechnique.com
- The College of Equine Bowen www.equinebowen.com
- The School of Canine Bowen Therapy www.schoolofcaninebowentherapy.com
I attend regular Continual Professional Development courses which are both inspiring and encouraging. My own awareness as a therapist is continually growing which is shown in the results being achieved. Conditions treated range from acute and often painful to chronic problems, frequently accompanied with other physical or emotional issues. My dedicated treatment room is for human clients and I travel out to see Equine clients. Canine clients also come to me, but in special circumstances can be treated in their own home.
